• Application refers to Writing Crucible, the software program provided by the Company.

• Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.

• You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

• Writing projects and manuscripts (stored securely for your use)
• Usage Data

Social Media Integration

Writing Crucible includes AI-powered social media features through our assistant “Cruci”. When you use these features:

• We may access your connected Facebook and Instagram business accounts to post content on your behalf
• We generate and post writing-related content to help promote your work
• We do not store or access your personal social media data beyond what's necessary for posting
• You can disconnect social media accounts at any time
• All social media posts are clearly attributed to Cruci, our AI assistant

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. This may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create. This includes all text, manuscripts, books, characters, worldbuilding materials, notes, outlines, and any other creative content you upload or create using the Service. Writing Crucible claims no ownership rights to user-created content. You maintain all rights, title, and interest in and to your content, including all intellectual property rights.

By using our Service, you grant Writing Crucible a non-exclusive, limited license solely to host, store, process, and display your content for the purpose of operating the Service. This license does not transfer ownership, does not allow reuse of your content for any purpose other than providing the Service, and does not allow training AI models on your content.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
• To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service.
• To provide writing tools: to store and organize your writing projects, characters, and worldbuilding materials.
• To provide AI assistance: to generate helpful writing content, suggestions, and social media posts through Cruci.
• To contact You: To contact You by email regarding updates, security notifications, or support requests.
• To improve our Service: to analyze usage patterns and enhance the writing tools and AI features.

We never use your content to train AI models. Your content is never used for AI training purposes, regardless of how you use the Service. Content processed by AI features may be temporarily stored to enable functionality, but such storage is limited to the duration necessary to provide the requested AI functionality and is subject to the same privacy protections as your other content.

Facebook and Instagram Integration

Our AI assistant Cruci can connect to your Facebook Business Page and Instagram Business account to:

• Post writing tips, motivational content, and promotional materials
• Respond to comments on your behalf (clearly identified as Cruci)
• Generate custom images and content for your social media presence
• Help build your author platform automatically

Important: We only access the minimum permissions necessary for posting. We do not read your private messages, access personal data, or store information from your social media accounts beyond what's necessary for the posting functionality.

Data Security

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your writing projects, account information, and any connected social media credentials. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your personal information
• Export your writing projects and data
• Disconnect social media integrations at any time
• Opt out of AI-generated social media posts
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data

Data Retention

We retain your writing projects and account data for as long as your account is active.

Subscription Cancellation

If you cancel your subscription, your account will be moved to the free tier at the end of your billing period. All your data and content will be retained, and you will continue to have access to your content on the free tier. Subscription cancellation does not result in data deletion.

Account Deletion

If you choose to delete your account, your user account and all content will be immediately removed from active services. We will retain your data in point-in-time recovery backups for 7 days after account deletion to allow for account recovery. After 7 days, your content will be permanently deleted from our active systems and scheduled for deletion from backups in accordance with our data retention policies, subject to legal requirements. We may retain certain metadata as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records).

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
