You retain full ownership of all content you create. This includes all text, manuscripts, books, characters, worldbuilding materials, notes, outlines, and any other creative content you upload or create using the Service. Writing Crucible claims no ownership rights to user-created content. You maintain all rights, title, and interest in and to your content, including all intellectual property rights.
By using our Service, you grant Writing Crucible a non-exclusive, limited license solely to host, store, process, and display your content for the purpose of operating the Service. This license does not transfer ownership, does not allow reuse of your content for any purpose other than providing the Service, and does not allow training AI models on your content.

We never use your content to train AI models. Your content is never used for AI training purposes, regardless of how you use the Service. Content processed by AI features may be temporarily stored to enable functionality, but such storage is limited to the duration necessary to provide the requested AI functionality and is subject to the same privacy protections as your other content.

Important: We only access the minimum permissions necessary for posting. We do not read your private messages, access personal data, or store information from your social media accounts beyond what's necessary for the posting functionality.
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your writing projects, account information, and any connected social media credentials. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We retain your writing projects and account data for as long as your account is active.
If you cancel your subscription, your account will be moved to the free tier at the end of your billing period. All your data and content will be retained, and you will continue to have access to your content on the free tier. Subscription cancellation does not result in data deletion.
If you choose to delete your account, your user account and all content will be immediately removed from active services. We will retain your data in point-in-time recovery backups for 7 days after account deletion to allow for account recovery. After 7 days, your content will be permanently deleted from our active systems and scheduled for deletion from backups in accordance with our data retention policies, subject to legal requirements. We may retain certain metadata as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records).
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us.
