If you teach, review or write for other writers, our Partner Program pays you for the writers you send our way. You earn a share of what they pay, and they get a discount.
What you earn
30% of every payment a writer you refer makes, for their first 12 months as a paying customer. The 12 months start from their first paid invoice, not from when they sign up or start their trial.
Paid on real payments only. There's nothing for sign-ups or trials that never pay, and there are no quotas or minimum audience size.
Paid monthly through your partner dashboard, after a short clearance period for refunds.
The 30% is worked out on what we actually receive, after discounts, taxes and payment fees.
What your audience gets
A 14-day free trial with everything unlocked, and no card needed to start.
10% off their first 3 paid months, or 10% off their first year if they choose annual billing.
Nothing to remember. Your link or code is saved to their account when they sign up, and the discount applies itself when they start paying.
The discount is for new Writing Crucible accounts only and can't be combined with other discounts. A writer who already has another discount, such as an early-adopter discount, keeps that one instead.
Joining
Go to the Partner Program page and click Become a partner.
Sign up on our partner portal at writingcrucible.promotekit.com. It's free and takes a couple of minutes.
You'll get your own referral link and partner code.

Sharing your link or code
Share whichever suits where you're talking to people:
Your link works well in newsletters and posts.
Your code works well in videos, podcasts and talks. Writers enter it when they sign up, under Have a partner code?
writingcrucible.com/?code=YOURCODE carries your code for them, so they don't have to type it.
A few things to know about how referrals are credited:
A writer who clicks your link and signs up in the same browser is credited to you, and that's saved to their account. It doesn't depend on a cookie lasting through their trial.
If they click on one device and sign up on another, your code is the reliable way to be credited.
The first referral recorded on an account is the one that counts. A writer who signs up without your link or code can't be credited to you later.
Payouts
Payouts are made monthly through the partner portal, once your earnings reach the minimum shown in your partner dashboard.
Writers start with a 14-day free trial, so their first payment comes at least two weeks after they sign up. With the clearance period and monthly payouts, expect your first earnings about six to eight weeks after your first referral joins.
No commission is paid on refunded or charged-back payments. If one was already paid, it's taken off a future payout.
If a writer cancels, your commission stops with their payments. If they come back within the 12 months and are still credited to you, it starts again for the rest of that period.
The rules
Tell your audience you earn a commission. The FTC and similar rules require a clear disclosure.
No self-referrals. Signing up for a paid plan with your own link or code forfeits the commission.
No spam or misleading marketing, and no pretending to be Writing Crucible or one of our staff.
Don't bid on the Writing Crucible name in pay-per-click ads without our written permission.
The full rules are in the Partner Program Terms.
